Crown Hill Theatre

Crown Hill Theatre is a newly reimagined, multi-use cultural hub built for flexibility and creative expression. Presented in partnership with Murmrr, the venue hosts live music, comedy, dance, podcast, literary and non-profit community events as well as film premieres and dance parties--all under one roof.

Located on historic Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Crown Hill Theatre occupies the former home of The Black Lady Theatre. Surrounded by a blossoming local art scene, the venue reflects the neighborhood's cultural vibrancy and is easily accessible from across Brooklyn and beyond.

Bridging Diversity & Artistry

Founder and Operator
of Peter Tulloch

Peter Tulloch, entrepreneur and musician, is deeply committed to fostering Brooklyn's diverse communities through the arts. Growing up in Jamaica, he embraced music and toured globally as a bass player, garnering a rich understanding of cultural connectivity.

In 2007, Tulloch initiated the renowned Fort Greene Festival, an annual celebration drawing an annual crowd of over 1500.

Tulloch's latest endeavor, the Crown Hill Theatre, has become a multicultural arts cornerstone in Crown Heights.

A devoted Brooklynite since the 1990s, Tulloch's abiding dedication continues to elevate and honor the cultural contributions of his community.
